Jedes Jahr landen mehr als 10 Millionen Tonnen Plastik und anderer Müll im Meer. Das Erschreckende ist, dass Plastik nicht verrottet, sondern in immer kleinere Teile zersetzt wird. Meerestiere verwechseln die bunten Teile mit Futter und verhungern trotz vollem Magen. So sterben jedes Jahr 135.000 Meeressäuger und eine Million Meeresvögel an unserer Wegwerfgesellschaft. Das muss ein Ende haben!
Auch in vielen Kosmetikprodukten versteckt sich Mikroplastik, welches bereits in Muscheln, Fischen und Seehunden nachgewiesen wurde. Zusammen mit PETA DEUTSCHLAND e.V. setzen wir uns für den Meeresschutz ein. Besonders am Herzen liegt uns die Trash Challenge. Wenn jede*r mindestens 3 Teile Müll mitnimmt, wenn er oder sie den Strand verlässt oder egal wo, hat man oder frau schon etwas erreicht. Mit einfachen Aktionen Großes bewirken: Daran glauben wir auch! Wenn jede*r einen Teil dazu beiträgt, Plastikmüll einzudämmen, haben wir schon Viel gewonnen.
